Camera

Bought it for headshots. Didn’t expect to fall back in love with shooting in manual. It’s small, quick to set up with film simulation recipes, and helps me capture and share without touching an editing app.

Just a heads up: This page has some affiliate links (marked with a *). If you click on one of these and buy something, I get a little bit of money, but it doesn't cost you anything extra.

  • Fujifilm XT-50

All the dreamy Fujifilm colors and sharpness of the X100VI, except I can switch lenses. I got mine through Adorama, but linked Amazon below in case it's on backorder.

  • Fujifilm XF 27mm f/2.8 R WR Lens

This 27mm pancake lens keeps my camera slim and lightweight, just like the X100VI. I bought mine from Adorama, but added an Amazon link too in case they’re out of stock.

  • Screen Protector

Because I’m not risking scratches on this camera. This screen protector goes on clean (no bubbling!) and comes with a spare wrist strap, which is always handy.

  • Camera Case

Minimal protection, but just enough to keep the bottom of my camera from getting scratched. Plus, I don’t have to take it off every time I want to use a tripod. Bonus points for the thread color actually matching the case.

  • 15" Soft Wrap

Perfect for quick outings. I just wrap my camera in this, toss it in my diaper bag, and go. Bonus: the extra square piece makes it easy to cover the screen and keep it scratch-free.

  • Lexar SD Card

This card is fast enough for photography and gives me just the right amount of space. If you’re looking for video options or more capacity, here’s a list of compatible cards.

  • Camera Strap

This strap is sturdy but not bulky, and the round design makes it surprisingly comfortable for long days out.

  • Haoge 39mm Square Lens Hood

I didn’t need this… but I kind of did. It helps with lens flare, protects the lense, and adds that timeless, film-camera look I was going for.

  • 39mm Magnetic Filter Set

This magnetic filter set stacks perfectly with my square lens hood. I keep the UV filter on and just pop on an ND or CPL when I’m feeling creative. I grabbed mine from Urth, but Amazon has it too in case it’s on backorder.

  • Soft Shutter Button

Helps me find the shutter button fast when I’m in the moment. The textured edge feels good, and it stays put thanks to the little rubber ring that secures it in place.

  • Thumb Rest Hot Shoe

Adds just the right amount of grip without getting in the way. I can still reach all my dials and buttons, but now the camera feels more secure in my hand.
