The Process
-
Start by filling out the short project form. After submitting, there’s an option to either receive a proposal (no call needed) or talk things through first on a 20-minute phone or video call.
-
If it feels like a good fit, an invoice and contract are sent to officially reserve your project date.
-
Once booked, everything moves into a private Notion portal with simple prompts to guide what’s needed. This helps get a clear picture of your brand and content before the project starts.
What’s typically needed:
Logo(s)
Brand colors
Fonts
Images
For Semi-Custom and Custom projects, also:
A loose outline of offers or services (no need to be perfect)
Testimonials or reviews, if available
Copy for each page (copy prompts are provided)
This prep work isn’t meant to be overwhelming. It simply creates a starting point. Anything that’s unclear or incomplete can be worked through during the first 1-hour video call.
-
The site is built in stages, with check-ins along the way.
Updates are shared regularly (daily or weekly, depending on the project), and feedback is collected at each milestone.
Before launch, you’ll also be shown how to make updates to your site moving forward.
-
Once everything is approved, the site is prepared for launch. This includes checking forms, confirming the domain is connected, and making sure the correct Squarespace plan is active.
From there, the site is ready to share 🎉

FAQs
Got questions? I’ve got answers! Here are a few I get asked a lot.
If you still have questions, feel free to reach out to me.

The earlier, the better!
I book projects 3 months in advance, so once we lock it in, we can start prepping.
Trust me, gathering all the goodies, like images, services, and copy, can take a little time, so getting ahead is always a win.
-
That’s completely okay. Many people aren’t sure at first, especially if you’re between options or starting something new.
When you share your project details, you can choose a quick phone or video call to talk it through.
This is a simple space to chat about your goals, what feels unclear, and what kind of support would be most helpful.
From there, a clear recommendation can be made and the service can be tailored to fit what’s actually needed.
-
That’s okay. The prep work is meant to be helpful, not overwhelming.
As long as the basics are submitted before the project start date, anything unclear or incomplete can be worked through during the first 1-hour video call.
-
For Semi-Custom and Custom projects, page copy is needed before the build begins because the words guide the design.
The length and structure of the text help determine the layout, sections, and overall page flow.
Copy prompts are provided to make this easy, and “good enough to start” is perfect. After launch, the text can always be updated as the business evolves.

Yes, absolutely. If you already have branding from another designer you love, collaboration is welcome.
If timing allows, being involved during the branding process is a great bonus. It gives a chance to review colors, fonts, and imagery through a website lens so everything translates well for readability and accessibility online.
If the branding is already finished, no worries at all. The website can absolutely be built using what’s already in place.
Here’s an example of a project created in collaboration with another brand designer.
-
Yes, totally. Before launch, we’ll do a quick walkthrough so you feel comfortable making basic updates on your own.
You’ll also get a few easy video tutorials you can come back to anytime.
And if anything comes up later, email support is available for questions like accessing your site, Squarespace settings and features, or the occasional weird issue that can pop up after a Squarespace update.
-
Yes, support is available after launch.
Some projects are best handled in phases. Many clients launch with the essentials first, then add things like new pages, SEO, or enhancements as the business grows.
For quick questions like accessing your site, Squarespace settings, or the occasional odd issue that can pop up after a Squarespace update, you can submit a support form anytime and get help without having to figure it out alone.
-
I build all my sites on Squarespace. It’s super easy to use and update, and has everything you need to run a blog, sell products, or manage your services, without making you want to throw your laptop out the window.
And the best part? Squarespace can handle unlimited traffic and data without slowing down or hitting you with extra costs.
Whether you’re adding loads of photos, videos, or suddenly go viral and get a surge in visitors, your site will stay smooth and reliable…all included in your plan, with no hidden fees.
-
Yes, absolutely. The process stays simple.
After the project is booked, everything is mapped out based on what’s already on your site, what you offer, and what you actually need moving forward.
From there, the best parts of your current site are kept, anything outdated can be cleaned up, and copy prompts are tailored to fit your business (so you’re not starting from scratch).
Most content can stay familiar, but a design refresh is usually the best part of moving platforms. It’s a great chance to simplify, modernize, and make the site easier to use.
This is a great fit for either the Semi-Custom or Custom package, depending on how much structure and strategy support is needed.
And for SEO, URL paths and basic settings are reviewed so the move is as smooth as possible and visibility is protected as much as it can be during the transition.
-
For sure! Squarespace is perfect for selling digital products or running a simple shop.
But if you’ve got more advanced needs (like multiple currencies or complex sales tax), I’d recommend Shopify. And don’t worry, I’ve got the perfect Shopify designer to link you up with.
-
You’ll be working with me 🥰
I’m a one-woman team, but if your project needs a little extra expertise, I bring in collaborators.
Either way, I’m your main go-to throughout the entire process.
-
Absolutely! I offer flexible payment plans that work with your project timeline, so budgeting is easier.
We can structure payments to align with your planned launch or final handover, whatever fits best!
Just a note: before the site is officially transferred to you, the project would need to be fully paid.
